New customer Service hours at WTC Panama

Mr. Manuel Paz, Operations Manager of the WTC Panama Complex, would like to inform you that as of the 1st of August 2015, the Administration Office will be available for any financial transaction (payment of dues, etc.) from Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:00AM – 12:00PM. For all other requests, questions or personal attention, by email or by phone, the Administration Office will still be available from Monday to Friday between 08:00AM to 5:00PM and Saturdays from 08:00AM to 12:00PM.

TVN filming at the WTC Panama Complex

In the past month of July, the team of TVN filmed their commercial for the new season of their evening program "Al Descubierto"on the Helipad on top of the Office Tower of the WTC Panama. The presenters, Blanca Herrera, Marelissa Him, Carolina Dementiev and Kayata were standing in front of a beautiful background of Panama City. New web platform WTC Valencia

WTC Valencia would like to present to all members of the WTC Panama their new platform to promote and disseminate information to the World Trade Centers globally. This web platform includes:

• An online radio primarily instrumental
• A second audio broadcast programs of general interest. This second issue can be heard simultaneously with the music
• A website dedicated to news; international, financial, entertainment and events
• Detailed information on the former programs and interviews
• A section dedicated to show video interviews.

IPADE Business School in Panama

Panamanian Businessman Mr. Carlos Rabat and professor of IPADE, Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa, Sr. Agustín Llamas, have mentioned that on August 10th the first program of IPADE Business School will open in Panama, aiming to improve management skills and training leaders in Top Management through an innovative academic proposal, with a global approach to business, social responsibility with the aim of positively transforming organizations from all sectors, and society in general.

IPADE promotes international dialogue, and accordingly it has established agreements with recognized homologous academic institutions in other countries. Likewise, it is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and a member of a number of international organizations. IPADE is currently the only business school in Latin America that is within the top twenty in the world (at #13). It assumes that the employer has, without giving prominence to the degree, at least ten years of management experience. It is a "business to business" program to improve the skills of those who already reached their goals as businessmen. Read more

Two new routes through the Panama Canal

Maersk Line and Hamburg Sud are operating two new shipping routes in the coming months, from respectively Asia to the east coast of the United States and from South America to the Caribbean. The Canal Administrator Jorge Quijano, said these two new services will generate "between $25 million to $30 million each." Vessels operating the routes are of medium size and will start going through the canal in the coming months. Read more

Panama one step closer to joining Pacific Alliance

Panama's entry to the Pacific Alliance, of which it has been an observer since its founding in 2011, is on the table. The regional Alliance, consisting of Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, holds 37% of Latin America’s GDP. It aims to create an area of deep integration to move towards the free movements of goods, services, capital and people among its members and allies. To fulfill these objectives Panama’s participation is important due to its ability "to unite both continents and oceans", according to Alan Garcia, former president of Peru and initiator of the Alliance. The ratification of the Free Trade Agreement between Mexico and Panama in March this year was a step ahead in the process to incorporate Panama as a full member. Read more
